This weld-on brake backing plate mounting bracket allows trailer builders or repair technicians to add electric drum brakes to a trailer axle that does not already have a brake flange installed.
The bracket is welded directly to the axle tube and provides the standard four-bolt square mounting pattern used by most modern 7" and 10" electric trailer brake assemblies.

Brake flanges are welded to a trailer axle to provide the mounting surface for electric drum brake backing plates. Most modern 7-inch and 10-inch electric brake assemblies use a standardized four-bolt square mounting pattern.
