Overview
This listing is for a 2-light Maxxima M63350 white LED low-profile oval light kit with two matching M63350-TAPE adhesive mounting tapes. The M63350 is commonly used as a back-up light, cargo light, compartment light, or courtesy light on trailers, service bodies, utility trailers, and other 12V applications where the light size, wiring style, and mounting method match.
R&P Service Insight
Before installing adhesive-mounted trailer lights, confirm that the mounting surface is clean, dry, flat, and suitable for tape adhesion. If the original light used screws or a grommet, compare the mounting area and wiring access before switching to adhesive mounting.
-
Surface Prep: Clean the mounting surface thoroughly before applying the adhesive tape.
-
Wiring Check: Confirm the 2-wire lead setup matches your trailer or vehicle wiring plan.
-
Mounting Choice: Use the included tape when adhesive mounting is preferred, or use screws where a mechanical fastener installation is required.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: This kit is built around the Maxxima M63350 light and M63350-TAPE adhesive mount. It is intended for applications where the 6.5" x 2.3" oval light size, 0.4" low-profile depth, 2-wire leads, and mounting style match the installation.
Vehicle / System Fit: Common applications include trailer reverse lights, cargo compartment lights, interior courtesy lights, utility trailer lighting, and service body lighting on compatible 12V systems.
Installation Notes: Check polarity, route wiring safely, seal or protect wire pass-through points as needed, and verify the adhesive tape has full contact with the mounting surface.
Performance Insight: The low-profile housing is useful where a shallow light body is preferred and a cleaner surface-mounted appearance is desired.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: Maxxima
Application Reference: Trailer, cargo, utility, service body, and courtesy lighting references describe common use cases only. Final fit depends on measurements, mounting surface, wiring access, and electrical compatibility.
What This Means: This listing is for a Maxxima 2-light kit with matching adhesive mounting tapes, not a guaranteed factory-original replacement for every trailer or vehicle application.
Before Ordering: Verify light size, mounting style, surface condition, wire length, electrical requirements, and included components before installation.
R&P Repair Insight
When replacing trailer back-up or cargo lights, the main fitment issues are usually size, mounting method, wire access, and whether the existing surface can accept adhesive tape. Match the light body and wiring before removing the old light.
-
Measure First: Confirm the available mounting area will accept a 6.5" x 2.3" oval light.
-
Check the Surface: Adhesive tape mounting works best on clean, smooth, flat surfaces with good tape contact.
-
Confirm the Circuit: Make sure the light is being installed on a compatible 12V circuit and that the wiring is protected from abrasion, water intrusion, and sharp edges.
