R&P Knowledge Hub
A Nev-R-Lube snap ring functions as a mechanical retainer that secures the sealed bearing cartridge inside the hub or drum bore. Unlike traditional tapered bearings, Nev-R-Lube cartridges are pressed into place and held by a precision snap ring. If the snap ring is damaged, stretched, or improperly installed, the cartridge may not seat correctly, which can lead to movement or premature failure. Before ordering, confirm the bearing cartridge part number and verify the drum casting number to ensure correct fitment.
