R&P Service Insight
This style of AC inlet is useful when the power connection needs to stay accessible from the outside while the inside of the vehicle, trailer, or compartment remains closed.
-
Mounting Check: Confirm the mounting panel can accept a 2" hole and has enough backside clearance for the integrated cord.
-
Power Use: Match the product to 125V AC applications within the listed amp rating.
-
Clean Installation: Route the internal cord so it is protected from sharp edges, pinch points, heat, and moving components.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Designed for 125V AC power access applications where the 2" flush-mount hole size and 16" internal cord length fit the installation area.
Vehicle / System Fit: Commonly used with onboard battery chargers, engine block heaters, equipment compartments, enclosed trailers, boats, trucks, service bodies, and exterior power access points.
Installation Notes: The GCP1 is intended for a simple flush-mount installation and does not require cable modification or hard-wiring. Verify mounting depth and cord routing before drilling.
