Overview
The Rack'Em RA-13 adjustable enclosed trailer shelf kit provides the steel bracket and wood socket framework needed to build two custom shelf tiers inside an enclosed trailer. It is designed for use with customer-supplied 2x4 lumber and plywood, allowing the installer to control shelf depth, spacing, and layout based on the trailer and cargo being stored.
R&P Service Insight
This kit is useful when floor space is more valuable than wall space. By moving tools, boxes, parts, and lighter equipment up onto wall-mounted shelves, the trailer floor stays clearer for mowers, larger cargo, and daily loading.
-
Structure First: Mount only to strong trailer wall/header structure capable of supporting the intended load.
-
Plan Shelf Depth: Choose 2x4 and plywood dimensions based on the trailer width, cargo clearance, and door access.
-
Load Carefully: Approximate 500 lb capacity depends on proper installation, lumber selection, fastener choice, and trailer structure.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Designed for enclosed trailers where the wall/header area provides suitable structure for a wall-mounted adjustable shelf system. Verify before ordering if your trailer has limited wall framing, finished interior panels, or unusual construction.
Vehicle / System Fit: Commonly used in enclosed cargo trailers, landscape trailers, work trailers, mobile service trailers, hobby trailers, and trailer storage builds.
Installation Notes: Brackets should be installed on a structural mounting surface. Customer supplies 2x4 lumber, plywood shelving material, and any installation fasteners required for the specific trailer wall construction.
Performance Insight: The adjustable socket layout lets the buyer set shelf height and depth around the actual cargo being carried instead of being locked into a fixed shelf size.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: Rack'Em
Application Reference: Enclosed trailer references describe the intended storage application only. Actual fit depends on the trailer wall/header structure and available interior space.
What This Means: This listing is for a Rack'Em RA-13 adjustable enclosed trailer shelf kit, not a complete wood shelving package.
Before Ordering: Verify trailer interior height, wall structure, mounting surface, desired shelf depth, clearance around cargo, and all included components before installation.
R&P Repair Insight
Most fitment issues with trailer shelf kits come from assuming every enclosed trailer wall is built the same. Before drilling, confirm where the structural supports are and mock up shelf height and depth with your actual cargo in mind.
-
Check Wall Framing: Do not rely on thin paneling alone to carry shelf weight.
-
Check Door Clearance: Confirm the planned shelf depth will not interfere with side doors, rear doors, toolboxes, or equipment handles.
-
Check Lumber Selection: Use appropriate 2x4 beams and plywood for the shelf span and intended load. Lumber and plywood are not included with this kit.

Open Floor Design
Wall-mounted layout avoids floor legs, helping keep the trailer floor clear for mowers, equipment, and larger cargo.
Customer-Built Shelf Surface
Designed for use with customer-supplied 2x4 beams and plywood, so shelf depth and layout can be built around the trailer’s actual use.
