Premium Dacromet-coated hydraulic brake assembly designed for 5,200 lb to 7,000 lb axles. Features a free-backing design specifically for marine trailers using surge actuators.
This 12" x 2" hydraulic brake assembly is a high-quality replacement solution built for high-capacity trailer axles. The "free-backing" feature is essential for boat and utility trailers, as it prevents the brakes from engaging while in reverse. The Dacromet coating provides an extra layer of protection against rust and salt water, making this an ideal choice for marine applications where corrosion resistance is critical.
Hydraulic free-backing brakes disengage when reversing, preventing brake lockup during backing maneuvers. Proper orientation is critical for performance.
Compatibility: Designed for 12" x 2" drum applications. Fits 5,200 lb, 6,000 lb, and 7,000 lb trailer axles.
Vehicle / System Fit: Ideal for boat trailers and utility trailers using surge actuators.
Installation Notes: The 5-bolt flange pattern and drum size must match your existing hub configuration.
Performance Insight: Always confirm brake size and axle rating before installation. This Dacromet coating offers superior salt spray resistance over standard paint.
