Genuine Dexter replacement solenoid valve designed for hydraulic disc brake actuators. This reverse lockout solenoid prevents trailer brakes from engaging while backing up by redirecting hydraulic pressure back to the master cylinder.

Reverse lockout solenoids are required for hydraulic disc brake actuators. When the tow vehicle is shifted into reverse and the reverse circuit is energized, the solenoid opens and prevents hydraulic pressure from applying the brakes.
If the solenoid is not wired correctly, the trailer brakes may lock when backing. A compatible 5-pole flat, 6-way round, or 7-way harness with reverse function is required.
