Complete 12" x 2" trailer brake drum and hub assembly with heavy-duty 9/16"-18 wheel studs installed. Designed for common 5,200 lb, 6,000 lb, and 7,000 lb trailer axles using an 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern. This kit includes inner and outer bearings with races, two grease seal options, eight lug nuts, and a 2.71" dust cap for servicing one wheel position.
A brake drum functions as both the braking surface and the wheel hub. When brakes are applied, the internal brake shoes expand against the drum surface to create stopping force while the bearings allow smooth rotation on the spindle.
This kit includes two seal sizes (2.125" I.D. and 2.25" I.D.) to accommodate common spindle variations. Always verify bolt pattern, stud size, bearing numbers, and required seal inside diameter before installation.
