R&P Knowledge Hub
Hydraulic trailer brake assemblies use fluid pressure from a surge actuator or electric-over-hydraulicsystem to expand the brake shoes against the drum surface.
The duo-servo design provides self-energizing braking in both forward and reverse directions, which improves stopping efficiency under heavy loads. Brake assemblies are side-specific and must matchthe correct left or right orientation.
Before ordering, verify brake size (12.25" x 3.375"), axle rating (8,000 lb),4-bolt flange configuration, and proper side.
