Flexible hydraulic brake hose for connecting the trailer brake steel line from the actuator to the lines feeding the trailer brakes. Built with 3/16" fittings, 1/8" I.D. hose, and a straight hose configuration.
This Demco DM05982 hydraulic brake hose is a flexible 19" brake line component used between the hydraulic brake actuator line and the trailer brake lines. It features a straight hose design with male and female inverted fittings, making it a practical replacement hose for compatible hydraulic drum or disc brake systems where length, fitting style, and routing match.
Hydraulic brake hoses are small parts that do important work. A worn, cracked, kinked, or mismatched hose can affect brake response and create service issues in the trailer braking system.
Compatibility: Designed for hydraulic trailer brake systems using a 18-7/8" flexible hose with 3/16" male and female inverted fittings.
Vehicle / System Fit: Commonly used on Demco Kar Kaddy tow dolly hydraulic brake applications where the original hose length and fitting configuration match.
Installation Notes: Verify hose length, routing clearance, fitting style, thread condition, and brake system type before installation. Brake lines should be properly bled after service.
Performance Insight: A flexible hose section helps absorb movement between fixed brake lines and moving trailer components while maintaining hydraulic brake pressure transfer.
Selling Brand: Demco
Application Reference: Kar Kaddy and tow dolly references describe common application use only. Final fitment depends on hose length, fitting style, and hydraulic brake system configuration.
What This Means: This listing is for a Demco hydraulic brake hose, Part Number DM05982, not a universal guarantee for every tow dolly or trailer brake setup.
Before Ordering: Verify measurements, hose routing, fitting type, male/female orientation, brake line size, and application details before installation.
When replacing a hydraulic brake hose, do not rely on length alone. The hose must match the correct fitting style and must route without stretching, twisting, rubbing, or kinking through the full range of trailer movement.
Connects the hydraulic brake steel line from the actuator to the lines that feed the trailer brakes.
Straight hose design with male and female inverted fittings for compatible hydraulic brake line connections.
Includes 3/16" e-coated steel fittings on either end for hydraulic brake line service applications.
Listed with DOT approval and SAE J1401 brake hose specification reference for applicable hydraulic brake service use.
