Overview
The Stillwell Atlas IV Vaquero is a self-contained hydraulic trailer jack engineered for heavy tongue loads, live cargo, and demanding work environments. This bolt-on 10,000 lb hydraulic jack provides 26 inches of total travel and uses an integrated 3,000 PSI power unit for controlled hydraulic lifting without requiring an external trailer pump or separate hydraulic plumbing.
R&P Service Insight
Hydraulic trailer jacks are a major upgrade over hand-crank jacks when the trailer has heavy tongue weight or sees frequent hitching and unhitching. Before installing, confirm that the trailer tongue has the correct bracket space, battery capacity, wiring setup, and jack clearance.
-
Mounting Check: Confirm the 7" wide x 20" tall bracket area fits your trailer tongue layout.
-
Electrical Check: Verify the trailer battery and wiring can support a self-contained hydraulic jack system.
-
Load Check: Match the jack capacity to actual tongue weight, not just gross trailer weight.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Designed for trailer applications where a 10,000 lb self-contained hydraulic jack, 26" lift range, bolt-on mounting style, and Vaquero package configuration match the trailer requirements.
Vehicle / System Fit: Commonly used on horse trailers, livestock trailers, gooseneck trailers, dump trailers, equipment trailers, and other heavy-duty trailer applications.
Installation Notes: Verify tongue layout, bracket position, jack travel, footplate clearance, wiring route, battery condition, and available mounting area before installation.
Performance Insight: Hydraulic lift helps reduce manual effort compared to crank-style jacks and provides smoother controlled movement under heavy tongue loads.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: Stillwell Hydraulic Products
Application Reference: Horse trailer, livestock trailer, gooseneck trailer, dump trailer, and equipment trailer references describe common application types only. Fitment still depends on trailer measurements and installation requirements.
What This Means: This listing is for a Stillwell Atlas IV Vaquero self-contained hydraulic trailer jack assembly with a 10,000 lb lift capacity and 26" total travel.
Before Ordering: Verify mounting style, bracket dimensions, available clearance, wiring requirements, trailer battery capacity, tongue load, and installation location before purchase.
R&P Repair Insight
When replacing or upgrading a trailer jack, the biggest fitment issues are usually bracket placement, tongue clearance, battery condition, and total lift range. Measure before ordering and compare the trailer’s tongue height range to the jack’s travel.
-
Bracket Area: Confirm the trailer has enough flat, usable mounting area for the bolt-on bracket.
-
Footplate Clearance: Check that the 10" x 10" footplate has room to move and land squarely during operation.
-
Power Supply: A weak trailer battery or undersized wiring can reduce hydraulic jack performance.
