Overview
This R&P Carriages assembled trailer light box kit is built for trailers using a common rear lighting layout with 6" oval stop/turn/tail lamps and 2" round marker lights. Instead of sourcing each small lighting part separately, this kit groups the light box protectors, LED lamps, marker lights, brackets, grommets, pigtails, and license plate light into one practical package for trailer repair, rebuild, or fabrication work.

R&P Repair Insight
Before installing a rear light box kit, inspect the trailer frame and rear crossmember area. Damaged metal, poor grounds, old splices, weak connectors, and unclear wire routing can cause lighting problems even when the new lamps are working correctly.
-
Ground Check: Verify the trailer has a clean, reliable ground path before final wiring.
-
Clearance Check: Make sure lights and boxes are protected from ramps, gates, stake pockets, and loading damage.
-
Finish Check: Paint or coat raw or unfinished steel components after fitting to help prevent corrosion.
