4' Coiled Rubber Breakaway Cable with Carabiner Connector

Part Number: BRK-CBL

This 4-foot coiled breakaway cable is designed to keep your electric brake trailer safe during towing. Made from durable thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), the cable stretches without dragging on the ground and includes a quick-clip carabiner for fast, secure attachment to your tow vehicle. Ideal for replacing worn, frayed, or outdated breakaway cables on virtually any trailer equipped with electric brakes.

Key Features

Cable Length 4 feet (coiled for tension & lift)
Material Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU)
Coil Style Stays lifted off the ground; minimizes dragging
Connector Quick-clip steel carabiner for secure tow-vehicle attachment
Compatibility Universal — fits any 12V electric brake breakaway switch

Fitment

This coiled breakaway cable fits any trailer equipped with an electric brake breakaway switch, including:

  • Utility trailers (single & tandem axle)
  • Car haulers & equipment trailers
  • Enclosed cargo trailers
  • Dump trailers
  • Boat trailers (electric-over-hydraulic systems)
  • Livestock & horse trailers
  • RV / camper trailers with 12V breakaway battery systems

What It Does

This cable forms the physical connection between your trailer’s breakaway switch and the back of your tow vehicle. If your trailer becomes disconnected while in motion, the cable pulls the breakaway pin, activating your electric brakes and bringing the trailer to a stop.
