R&P Knowledge Hub
Dexter 7,200 lb axles commonly use the 8-393 hub and drum configuration paired with 2-1/2" wide brake shoes. These hubs utilize tapered roller bearings (25580 inner and 02475 outer) and may be configured for either grease or oil bath systems depending on the seal installed. Proper seal selection is critical— grease hubs require a grease seal, while oil bath hubs require the correct oil seal. Always verify bearing numbers and lubrication type before installation.
