R&P Knowledge Hub
Hydraulic brake backing plates contain the wheel cylinder, shoes, and return springs pre-assembled on a mounting plate. On 7,000 lb axles, the 12" x 2" size is matched to corresponding hydraulic brake drums. Right-hand assemblies are side-specific and must match the correct orientation of the axle. Before installation, confirm brake size, axle rating, and 5-bolt brake flange pattern.
