These LED marker lights use a single power wire and ground through the attached ring terminal. On steel trailers, the mounting screw typically provides grounding through the frame.
On fiberglass or aluminum trailers, a dedicated ground wire must be run from the ring terminal to the trailer frame or white ground wire in the harness. Poor grounding is the most common cause of flickering or non-functioning LED lights.
