Most actuators fail on triple axles because they can't move enough fluid. The A-160 is the "Big Block" of actuators.

  • Master Cylinder: Tuned stroke length ensures the rear-most axle grabs just as hard as the front.
  • Anti-Dive Geometry: The drop-tongue design keeps your trailer level, preventing the actuator from "binding" under heavy surge loads.

Compatibility: Not for use with Drum brakes. Use only with DOT 3 or 4 Brake Fluid.

Upgrading to a 16K unit requires attention to your total system integrity. Don't let a weak hitch or old fluid compromise your new actuator.

  • Check Your Ball: Ensure you are using a 2-5/16" ball. A 2" ball will appear to fit but will fail catastrophically under surge pressure.
  • Reverse Solenoid: Being a Disc-Specific unit, ensure your 5-flat or 7-round plug is wired to the backup lights to allow reversing without brake engagement.
  • Bleeding Tip: On triple axles, always start bleeding at the caliper furthest from the actuator to ensure all air is purged from the high-volume lines.
