Spindo Seal Repair Kit #2 for 3500 lb Trailer Axles, 1825631 Seal, L68149 / 32373 Bearing Fit
Repair worn or grooved spindle seal journals on many common 3,500 lb trailer axles using a stainless wear sleeve, O-ring, and double-lip neoprene seal setup.
Overview
Spindle Seal Repair Kit #2 is designed to restore worn, corroded, or grooved seal journal surfaces on common 3,500 lb trailer axles. The stainless repair sleeve installs over the damaged spindle surface, giving the included double-lip neoprene seal a new smooth sealing area to ride on. This helps stop recurring grease leakage without replacing the full axle.
R&P Service Insight
Seal journal wear is a common cause of repeat grease seal failure. If the spindle surface is grooved, rusted, or pitted, a new grease seal alone may not solve the leak.
- Repair Focus: Restores the sealing surface where the grease seal rides.
- Axle Coverage: Services one complete axle, or two hubs.
- Fit Check: Verify inner bearing number and original seal size before ordering.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Commonly fits standard 3,500 lb trailer axles using L68149 or LM48548 inner bearings and a 1.719" ID x 2.56" OD grease seal.
Trailer System Fit: Intended for spindle seal journal repair on compatible trailer hub and axle assemblies where measurements match.
Installation Notes: Confirm the original grease seal dimensions, bearing number, spindle condition, and hub configuration before installation.
Performance Insight: The stainless sleeve creates a clean, corrosion-resistant surface so the seal rides on the sleeve instead of the damaged spindle journal.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: R&P Carriages curated trailer axle spindle seal repair kit.
Application Reference: Dexter, ALKO, AXIS, and other axle names are used only as compatibility references for common 3,500 lb axle applications where bearing and seal dimensions match.
What This Means: This listing is for a spindle seal repair kit matched by measurement, not a guaranteed OEM-branded item unless specifically stated and verified.
Before Ordering: Verify bearing number, original seal size, seal outside diameter, spindle journal condition, and hub style before purchase or installation.
R&P Repair Insight
A leaking hub seal can contaminate brake components, reduce braking performance, and create repeat maintenance issues. This repair kit is useful when the seal itself has been replaced but the spindle journal surface is still damaged.
- Check the Journal: Look for grooves, rust, scoring, or corrosion where the seal rides.
- Check the Seal: This kit is for applications using a 1.719" ID x 2.56" OD original grease seal.
- Check the Bearing: Common fitment uses L68149 or LM48548 inner bearings with 1-3/8" ID.
