Genuine USA Made Dexter 10" x 1-1/2" electric trailer brake assembly designed specifically for 3,000 lb Dexter D30 axle applications.
This is the Left Hand (Driver Side) configuration. Engineered to mount to a standard 4-bolt brake flange and pair with 10" x 1-1/2" brake drums.
Brake assembly includes shoes, magnet, return springs, adjuster, and backing plate — fully pre-assembled for direct bolt-on replacement.
This listing is for ONE complete brake assembly (one wheel).

Designed for Dexter D30 3,000 lb axles using 10" x 1-1/2" brake drums.

Important: This is a 10" x 1-1/2" brake assembly. It is not interchangeable with 10" x 2-1/4" brake assemblies used on 3,500 lb axles.
Always verify brake size, axle rating, mounting flange configuration, and drum compatibility before ordering.

Installation Overview
- Remove wheel and brake drum.
- Disconnect brake wiring from existing assembly.
- Remove four backing plate mounting bolts.
- Install new brake assembly and torque hardware properly.
- Reconnect wiring (electric brake magnets are not polarity sensitive).
- Reinstall drum and wheel.
- Adjust brake controller and perform proper break-in procedure.

Electric brake assemblies operate when current from the trailer brake controller energizes the internal magnet. The magnet contacts the rotating drum face, activating the actuating arm and expanding the brake shoes outward against the drum surface.
Proper sizing is critical. A 10" x 1-1/2" brake must be used with a matching 10" x 1-1/2" drum. Installing the wrong width assembly will cause improper shoe contact and reduced braking performance.
For best results, replace both sides of the axle at the same time to ensure balanced braking.
