Seneca, Illinois · On Route 6
Built by people.
Rooted in place.
Trailer people. Parts people. Your people.
Need A Trailer Part is the parts side of R&P Carriages—a family business bringing trailer sales, service, rentals, and practical help together in Seneca, Illinois.
This starts with Robin and Paul. Their story is the reason there is a parts counter, a repair shop, a yard full of trailers, and a team here to help customers keep moving.
Five trailers became a business. A small trailer venture became a home on Route 6. The photo above says a lot about who R&P has always been—practical, personal, and local.
01 / Our story
Five trailers.
A whole lot of possibility.
Views from the business that grew here in Seneca.
In 1999, Robin and Paul were running a horse-drawn carriage business when they bought a stack of five open trailers. Trailer sales began part time, alongside full-time jobs.
The business grew through conversations, customers, and recommendations. Then came a permanent home—and more room for the work.

Need A Trailer Part grew out of the parts counter and repair shop at R&P Carriages. The online store brings that practical knowledge to trailer owners looking for replacement parts, fitment help, and technical guidance.
Our parts team works alongside people who see trailer repairs every day. Getting the right part matters as much as finding a part at all.
