Genuine USA Made Dexter 10" x 1-1/2" electric trailer brake assembly engineered specifically for 3,000 lb Dexter D30 axle applications.

This is the Right Hand (Passenger Side) configuration. Designed to mount to a standard 4-bolt brake flange and pair with 10" x 1-1/2" brake drums.

Assembly includes brake shoes, magnet, springs, adjuster, and backing plate — fully pre-assembled for direct replacement.

Installation Overview

Remove wheel and brake drum.
Disconnect existing brake wiring.
Remove four backing plate mounting bolts.
Install new brake assembly and torque hardware properly.
Reconnect wiring (electric brake magnets are not polarity sensitive).
Reinstall drum and wheel.
Adjust brake controller and perform proper break-in procedure.

Electric brake assemblies function when the trailer brake controller sends current to the internal electromagnet. The magnet contacts the rotating drum face, activating the lever arm and expanding the brake shoes outward.

Proper brake sizing is critical. A 10" x 1-1/2" assembly must be paired with the correct 10" x 1-1/2" drum. Installing on a 10" x 2-1/4" drum will result in improper contact and reduced braking efficiency.

When replacing one side, always inspect the opposite side for even wear.
