Why Replace Marker Lights as a Set?

Marker lights share a difficult working environment: road spray, vibration, weather exposure, and years of repeated use.

When multiple lights are showing their age, replacing them together can reduce repeat maintenance and give matching positions a consistent appearance.

The Optronics MCL32AB combines two visibility functions. Its three LEDs produce amber illumination when powered, while the integrated reflex lens reflects external light, such as headlights, even when the lamp is switched off.

A four-pack is a convenient quantity for a trailer using several identical amber markers. It is not a universal four-light requirement, and it does not replace red rear markers or other required lighting.

Before ordering, walk around your trailer and identify which marker-light positions require amber lenses. Count the lights you intend to replace and compare the existing mounting pattern with the MCL32AB's 3" centers.

Each light uses a dedicated two-wire connection: black for power and white for ground. Inspect the trailer's existing wiring and plan for weather-resistant electrical connections before beginning the installation.

Don't Replace Four Lights to Fix One Wiring Problem.

If several marker lights fail at once, check the trailer's marker-light feed, ground connections, plugs, and splices before assuming every lamp is defective.

A coordinated lighting refresh is a good opportunity to repair corroded terminals, secure loose wiring, inspect the mounting surfaces, and confirm proper operation across the entire trailer.
