This Dexter equalizer is designed for trailer suspension systems using 3" wide slipper springs with a 1" diameter spring eye. It is commonly used on tandem or triple axle trailer configurations requiring approximately 48-1/2" center-to-center axle spacing.Equalizer only — hardware not included.

In a slipper spring suspension system, the equalizer pivots at the center bolt to distribute road impact between axles. When one axle encounters uneven terrain, the equalizer rotates to balance force across the adjacent axle.
Equalizer length directly determines axle spacing and suspension geometry. Incorrect length or bolt diameter can alter axle alignment and cause premature wear. Always verify spring width, eye diameter, pivot bolt diameter, and center-to-center measurements before installation.
