This Dexter retaining clip (also called a clamp ring) is designed for heavy-duty 8,000–12,000 lb axles equipped with 5/8" wheel studs. It is commonly used on dual-wheel hub systems where the clamp ring allows the use of cone lug nuts rather than flange nuts. Works with all brands of trailer axles with 5/8" wheel studs.
