Bearing & Seal Information
This hub and drum kit uses the 25580 inner bearing with a 1.75" inside diameter and the 14125A outer bearing with a 1.25" inside diameter. Matching races are included.
Two grease seal options are supplied:
- 10-36: 2.25" inside diameter
- 10-10: 2.125" inside diameter
Both grease seal sizes are included to accommodate common spindle variations. Only the seal matching your spindle's seal journal should be installed. Confirm your existing seal dimensions or spindle specifications before assembly.

How a hub and brake drum works
A trailer hub and brake drum performs two related functions. The hub supports wheel rotation through its inner and outer bearings, while the drum provides the friction surface for the trailer's brake shoes.
During braking, the brake shoes expand against the inside surface of the drum to produce stopping force. Proper bearing adjustment, lubrication, and brake condition are essential for reliable operation.
Before ordering: Match the existing hub's bolt pattern, wheel stud diameter, inner and outer bearing numbers, grease seal dimensions, and brake drum size. Axle weight rating alone does not establish compatibility.
Fitment & Installation Notes
- Designed for common 5,200 lb, 6,000 lb, and 7,000 lb trailer axle applications using compatible 12" x 2" brakes.
- Requires an 8 on 6.5" wheel bolt pattern.
- Verify 9/16"-18 wheel stud and lug nut compatibility with the trailer's wheels.
