R&P Knowledge Hub
A stub axle kit is used when a spindle becomes damaged due to bearing failure, overheating, or impact. The original spindle end is removed and the replacement stub is welded to the axle tube to restore proper bearing support. The #84 spindle uses an L68149 inner bearing and L44649 outer bearing, common in 3,500 lb axle assemblies. Before ordering, confirm bearing numbers, seal size, bolt pattern, and axle tube diameter to ensure correct fitment.
