Lippert 7,000 lb Trailer Axle Beam Kit - 94" Hub Face - 3" Tube Straight Axle With Perches
Heavy-duty 7,000 lb trailer axle bare beam kit with 94" hub face, straight cambered beam, EZ Lube spindle configuration, and loose 3" spring perches included for measurement-based installation.
Overview
This Lippert 7,000 lb trailer axle beam kit is built for compatible spring-axle trailer applications where the existing axle measurements match. The axle uses a 94" hub face, straight cambered beam configuration, 3" axle tube, and EZ Lube spindle setup. This is a bare beam kit intended for reuse or installation with compatible hubs, drums, brakes, bearings, seals, and suspension components.
R&P Service Insight
Replacement axle beams are measurement-sensitive parts. Hub face, brake flange spacing, bearing shoulder dimensions, spring center, axle capacity, and brake/hub compatibility all need to line up before the axle is installed.
- Measure First: Match hub face and brake flange dimensions against the axle being replaced.
- Confirm Running Gear: Verify brake size, hub/drum setup, bearing package, seal size, and wheel bolt pattern separately.
- Perches Ship Loose: This -KIT includes loose spring perches that must be welded at the correct Spring Center before road use.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Designed for compatible 7,000 lb trailer spring-axle applications where 94" hub face, 87.66" brake flange spacing, 3" tube, and related spindle dimensions match the trailer setup.
Vehicle / System Fit: Commonly used on equipment trailers, enclosed trailers, utility trailers, campers, and other spring-axle trailers requiring a 7K straight axle beam with matching dimensions.
Installation Notes: Verify hub face, brake flange spacing, Spring Center, spindle dimensions, tube diameter, brake/hub compatibility, and perch welding requirements before installation.
Performance Insight: The cambered beam should be installed with the arch facing upward so the axle supports load correctly once the trailer is in service.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: R&P Carriages / Lippert axle beam kit as listed.
Application Reference: Trailer, axle, brake, hub, and suspension terms in this listing describe compatibility targets only where the customer’s measurements and configuration match.
What This Means: This listing is for a 7,000 lb trailer axle bare beam kit with loose spring perches, not a complete hub-to-hub axle assembly.
Before Ordering: Confirm all measurements and required components before purchase. Hubs, drums, brakes, bearings, seals, wheels, U-bolts, and suspension hardware are not included unless specifically listed.
R&P Repair Insight
Axle beams are often replaced because of impact damage, bent tubes, tire wear problems, overloaded service history, bearing/spindle damage, or incorrect prior installation. A correct axle replacement starts with hard measurements, not just axle capacity.
- Hub Face: Measure from wheel mounting face to wheel mounting face to confirm the axle width.
- Brake Flange: Match the brake flange spacing and brake mounting pattern to your brake assemblies.
- Spring Center: Measure center-to-center between leaf springs or existing spring perches before welding the included perches.
Features
7,000 lb Axle Beam
Built for compatible 7K trailer applications where the axle capacity and installation dimensions match the trailer.
94" Hub Face
Uses a 94" hub face measurement for trailers requiring this specific axle width.
3" Straight Cambered Tube
Standard 3" axle tube with straight cambered configuration for proper load support when installed correctly.
Loose Spring Perches Included

What Comes in the -KIT: Spring Perches Are Included Loose
This -KIT includes the axle beam and loose spring perches / spring seats. The spring perches are included as separate pieces. Included does not mean welded.
Spring perches ship loose by default. They are not welded to the axle tube before shipment unless the customer specifically requests perch welding in the order notes, provides the correct Spring Center measurement, and R&P confirms the weld-on request before the axle ships.
When Will R&P Weld the Spring Perches?
R&P may weld the spring perches before shipment only when the order clearly gives us the information needed to do it correctly.
- The customer must request welded spring perches in the order notes.
- The customer must provide the Spring Center measurement.
- R&P must confirm the weld-on request before shipment.
How to Find Your Spring Center Measurement
Spring Center is the distance from the center of one leaf spring to the center of the opposite leaf spring. This is the measurement used to locate where the spring perches need to be welded on the axle tube.
- Best method with old axle: Measure from the center of one existing spring perch / spring seat to the center of the opposite spring perch / spring seat.
- Best method from the trailer: Measure from the centerline of the left leaf spring pack to the centerline of the right leaf spring pack where the axle sits.
- Leaf spring center bolt method: Measure from the center of the center bolt / locating pin on one spring pack to the center of the center bolt / locating pin on the other spring pack.
- Do not measure outside-to-outside. Spring Center is a center-to-center measurement.
- Do not guess from deck width. Deck width can be helpful context, but it is not a substitute for the actual Spring Center measurement.
Axle Measurement Diagram
Use this single axle diagram as a visual reference while confirming hub face, brake flange, spindle, and Spring Center details. Spring Center must still be measured center-to-center at the trailer’s leaf springs or existing spring perches.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Are spring perches included in the -KIT? | Yes. Two SP-3 spring perches for a 3" axle tube are included as loose parts. |
| Are the spring perches welded on by default? | No. They ship loose by default. |
| Can R&P weld the perches before shipping? | Only if the customer requests it in the order notes, provides the correct Spring Center measurement, and R&P confirms the request before shipment. |
| What measurement is needed for welding? | Spring Center: center of one leaf spring / spring perch to the center of the opposite leaf spring / spring perch. |
| Can the axle be used with loose perches? | No. Do not install, tow, or place the axle in service until the perches are properly welded. |
| Which way does camber face? | If the axle is cambered, the arch goes up in the middle when installed. |
Order Note Wording Customers Can Use
Customers who want R&P to weld the spring perches should put clear instructions in the order notes before checkout.
