8,000 lb Trailer Axle Beam Kit - 76" Hub Face - 3" Tube - Straight EZ Lube
Heavy-duty 8,000 lb bare axle beam kit for trailer and camper axle replacement where the 76" hub face, 3" tube, brake flange, spindle, and bearing setup match the original axle.
Overview
This 8,000 lb trailer axle beam kit is built around a straight cambered 3" tube bare axle beam with EZ Lube spindle configuration and 4-bolt brake flange setup. It is commonly used as a replacement axle beam for trailers or campers that originally used true 8K running gear and matching 12.25" brake and drum components.
R&P Service Insight
This is a measurement-driven axle listing. The buyer should match the axle dimensions and running gear style before ordering.
- Match the beam: Confirm hub face, brake flange spacing, bearing shoulder spacing, spindle style, and tube diameter.
- Match the running gear: This axle is intended for true 8K-style applications using compatible drums, bearings, seals, and brake assemblies.
- Spring perches: This -KIT includes loose SP-3 spring perches that must be welded before the axle is placed into service.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Common replacement axle beam for trailers or campers that typically have a 57" to 60" floor deck width and matching 8K running gear.
Brake / Drum Reference: Designed for applications that typically use true 8,000 lb Dexter 008-285 drums or compatible LCI 12.25" x 3.375" drum and brake configurations.
Bearing / Seal Reference: Uses standard 25580 / 02475 bearing configuration with 2.25" seals. Some older trailers may use 2.125" seals. Bearings and seals are not included.
Installation Notes: Verify all measurements before ordering. Spring perches are included loose and must be welded at the correct spring center before use.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: R&P Carriages curated axle beam kit.
Component Reference: The included axle beam is listed as part number 8000-76-3. The kit also includes two SP-3 spring perches for a 3" axle beam.
Application Reference: Dexter, Lippert, LCI, or other manufacturer names may describe compatible running gear style, measurements, or application reference only.
Before Ordering: Confirm hub face, brake flange spacing, bearing shoulder spacing, spindle end-to-end measurement, tube diameter, bearing/seal setup, brake/drum compatibility, and spring center requirements.
R&P Repair Insight
Axles are not selected by capacity alone. A true fit depends on the measured beam, the brake/drum package, the spindle/bearing setup, and the spring mounting position.
- Do not guess from deck width: Deck width is only a general clue. Match axle measurements directly.
- Check seal size: This listing references 2.25" seals, but some older trailers may require 2.125" seals.
- Confirm camber orientation: If the axle is cambered, the arch goes up in the middle when installed.
Features

| Quantity | Part Number | Item |

Spring Perches Are Included Loose
This -KIT includes the axle beam and two loose SP-3 spring perches. The spring perches are included as separate pieces. Included does not mean welded.
Spring perches ship loose by default. They are not welded to the axle tube before shipment unless the customer specifically requests perch welding in the order notes, provides the correct Spring Center measurement, and R&P confirms the weld-on request before the axle ships.
When Will R&P Weld the Spring Perches?
- The customer must request welded spring perches in the order notes.
- The customer must provide the Spring Center measurement.
- R&P must confirm the weld-on request before shipment.
How to Find Your Spring Center Measurement
Spring Center is the distance from the center of one leaf spring to the center of the opposite leaf spring. This measurement determines where the spring perches need to be welded on the axle tube.
- Best method with old axle: Measure from the center of one existing spring perch / spring seat to the center of the opposite spring perch / spring seat.
- Best method from the trailer: Measure from the centerline of the left leaf spring pack to the centerline of the right leaf spring pack where the axle sits.
- Leaf spring center bolt method: Measure from the center of the locating pin on one spring pack to the center of the locating pin on the opposite spring pack.
- Do not measure outside-to-outside. Spring Center is a center-to-center measurement.
- Do not guess from deck width. Deck width can provide context, but it is not a substitute for the actual Spring Center measurement.
