Lippert 7,000 lb Trailer Axle Beam Kit - 90" Hub Face - Straight - 3" Tube
Heavy-duty 7,000 lb trailer axle beam kit for trailers requiring a 90" hub face measurement, straight cambered beam configuration, and 3" axle tube.
Overview
This 7,000 lb rated trailer axle beam kit is built for trailers requiring a 90" hub face axle. The kit includes the axle beam and two SP-3 spring perches for installation where the trailer measurements, suspension layout, hub face width, and spring center match.
R&P Service Insight
Axle replacement is measurement-sensitive. Before ordering, confirm the hub face, brake flange, spring center, tube diameter, and hub/brake configuration on the trailer.
- Hub Face: This axle is identified by its 90" hub face measurement.
- Tube Diameter: This listing is for a 3" axle tube, not a smaller tube configuration.
- Spring Perches: The included SP-3 perches ship loose unless welding is specifically requested and confirmed.
R&P Knowledge Hub
How Axles Are Measured: Trailer axles are commonly identified by the hub face to hub face measurement. This axle measures 90" hub face to hub face.
Brake Flange Reference: If hub faces are difficult to measure, the brake flange to brake flange dimension for this axle configuration is approximately 83.66".
Common Trailer Context: This axle size is commonly used on trailers with approximately 76.5" to 80" deck width between fenders.
Hub / Brake Context: This axle configuration is commonly paired with compatible 7K hub and brake setups, including 12" brake drum applications where spindle, brake, and hub specifications match.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: R&P Carriages curated axle beam kit.
Component Reference: The included axle beam is listed as a Lippert 7000# bare beam, 90" hub face, straight, EZ Lube, USA made.
What This Means: This listing is for the complete 7000-90-3-KIT configuration shown in the included components table, including the axle beam and two loose SP-3 spring perches.
Before Ordering: Verify hub face, brake flange, tube diameter, spindle configuration, spring center, suspension layout, hub compatibility, brake compatibility, and included components before installation.
R&P Repair Insight
A replacement axle should be matched from actual axle and trailer measurements, not only from capacity or deck width. Deck width is helpful context, but hub face and spring center are the critical fit-check measurements.
- Measure Hub Face: Confirm 90" hub face to hub face before ordering.
- Confirm Spring Center: Spring perches must be positioned to the trailer’s leaf spring center measurement before welding.
- Check Hub / Brake Setup: Match the axle to the correct hub, bearing, seal, brake flange, and 12" brake assembly configuration before installation.

Spring Perches Are Included Loose
This axle -KIT includes the axle beam and two loose SP-3 spring perches. Included does not mean welded.
Spring perches ship loose by default. They are not welded to the axle tube before shipment unless the customer specifically requests perch welding in the order notes, provides the correct Spring Center measurement, and R&P confirms the weld-on request before the axle ships.
How to Find Your Spring Center Measurement
Spring Center is the distance from the center of one leaf spring to the center of the opposite leaf spring. This measurement determines where the spring perches must be welded on the axle tube.
- Best method with old axle: Measure from the center of one existing spring perch to the center of the opposite spring perch.
- Best method from the trailer: Measure from the centerline of the left leaf spring pack to the centerline of the right leaf spring pack where the axle sits.
- Do not measure outside-to-outside. Spring Center is a center-to-center measurement.
- Do not guess from deck width. Deck width can help confirm context, but it is not a substitute for Spring Center.
Axle Measurement Diagram
Use this diagram as a visual reference while confirming axle dimensions. Spring Center must still be measured center-to-center at the trailer’s leaf springs or existing spring perches.
Order Note Wording Customers Can Use
Customers who want R&P to weld the spring perches should put clear instructions in the order notes before checkout.
