Overview
This 1,750 lb torsion half-axle utilizes internal rubber cords to dampen road shock, eliminating the need for leaf springs and shackles. The 22° down starting angle sits the spindle lower than the axle tube, providing roughly 3-4 inches of extra frame lift compared to neutral axles—perfect for off-road builds or trailers requiring high ground clearance.

Half axles are a "fabricator's favorite" because they allow for open-center trailer designs. However, precision during installation is key to tire longevity.
- Trailing Arm: Must be installed so the arm points toward the REAR of the trailer.
- Mounting: Ensure the trailer frame is reinforced; half axles concentrate torque on a smaller area than full axles.
- Ride Height: Expect the 22° down angle to level out toward 0° when the trailer is fully loaded.

Safety Note: Torsion axles must be oriented correctly so the torsion arm trails behind the axle tube. Installing these as "leading arms" (pointing forward) will result in suspension failure and loss of control. Ensure your trailer frame is capable of handling independent torsion mounting.
