Lippert 3500 lb Trailer Axle Beam — 93" Hub Face — Straight EZ Lube — 3" Tube
Lippert 3500 lb straight trailer axle beam with 93" hub face, standard 3" axle tube, and EZ Lube spindle configuration for compatible utility trailers, campers, and 5-lug running gear setups. Includes 2 loose spring perches. Perches ship loose unless welding is requested
Overview
This Lippert 3500 lb trailer axle beam is a replacement bare axle beam for trailers using a 93" hub face, straight cambered beam, standard 3" axle tube, and EZ Lube spindle setup. It is commonly used on utility trailers and campers where the hub face, brake flange spacing, spindle type, bearing set, and spring center requirements match the existing trailer.
R&P Service Insight
Axle replacement should start with measurements, not guesswork. Hub face sets the wheel track, while spring center controls where the axle sits under the suspension.
- Hub Face First: Confirm the 93" hub face measurement before ordering.
- Spring Center Matters: The included spring perches ship loose and must be positioned to the trailer’s required spring center before use.
- Running Gear Match: Confirm bearings, seals, hubs, brakes, and brake flange layout before installing existing or replacement parts.
R&P Knowledge Hub
Compatibility: Built for compatible 3500 lb trailer axle applications using a 93" hub face, straight axle beam, EZ Lube spindle setup, and standard 3" axle tube.
Trailer / System Fit: Common replacement style for utility trailers and campers using 5-lug hubs or 10" drum brake assemblies where measurements match.
Installation Notes: Verify hub face, brake flange spacing, bearing combination, seal size, spring center, camber orientation, and loose spring perch requirements before installation.
Performance Insight: A properly matched axle beam helps maintain wheel tracking, tire clearance, suspension alignment, and correct brake/hub placement under load.
Brand & Fitment Note
Selling Brand: Lippert axle beam with R&P supplied kit components.
Application Reference: Trailer type, camper type, hub style, and brake references describe compatibility targets only where the trailer’s measurements and running gear configuration match.
What This Means: This listing is for a 3500 lb bare axle beam kit. Hubs, drums, bearings, seals, brakes, U-bolts, tie plates, and installation hardware are not included unless specifically listed in the included components table.
Before Ordering: Verify all measurements and component compatibility before installation. Do not rely on deck width alone when replacing an axle.
Spring Perches Are Included Loose
This -KIT includes the axle beam and two loose spring perches. The spring perches are separate parts. Included does not mean welded.
Spring perches ship loose by default. They are not welded to the axle tube before shipment unless the customer specifically requests perch welding in the order notes, provides the correct Spring Center measurement, and R&P confirms the weld-on request before the axle ships.
How to Find Your Spring Center Measurement
Spring Center is the distance from the center of one leaf spring to the center of the opposite leaf spring. This is the measurement used to locate where the spring perches need to be welded on the axle tube.
- Best method with old axle: Measure from the center of one existing spring perch to the center of the opposite spring perch.
- Best method from the trailer: Measure from the centerline of the left leaf spring pack to the centerline of the right leaf spring pack where the axle sits.
- Center bolt method: Measure from the center of one leaf spring center bolt / locating pin to the center of the opposite spring’s center bolt / locating pin.
- Do not measure outside-to-outside. Spring Center is a center-to-center measurement.
- Do not guess from deck width. Deck width can help identify likely axle families, but it is not a substitute for the actual Spring Center measurement.
R&P Repair Insight
Most axle ordering mistakes come from matching only the weight rating or hub face while missing the spindle, brake flange, spring center, or tube size. Confirm the whole axle layout before replacing the beam.
- Camber Check: If the axle is cambered, the arch faces up in the middle when installed.
- Bearing Match: This axle style uses the L44649 and L68149 bearing family with a 10-19 grease seal configuration when matched with compatible hub/drum assemblies.
- Brake Match: Confirm 10" brake compatibility, brake flange location, and existing hub/drum setup before transferring parts.
