12-1/4" x 3-3/8" Dexter 10K Hub & Drum Kit – 8 on 6.5" – 008-430-05
Genuine Dexter-style 12-1/4" x 3-3/8" one-piece hub and drum assembly designed for 9,000 lb, 10,000 lb General Duty (10G), and 13G axles manufactured after July 2009. This unit features an 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern with 5/8"-18 pressed studs and is intended for heavy-duty trailer applications.
This hub/drum will NOT fit axles manufactured prior to 2009. In 2009, Dexter revised the hub and drum configuration for 9K and 10K General Duty axles. While brake shoes, seals, and bearings remained consistent, hubs and drums are not interchangeable between pre-2009 and 2009+ systems.

Important: This hub and drum assembly is designed only for Dexter 2009 and newer 9K / 10K General Duty and 13G axle configurations. It is not interchangeable with older 288 series two-piece hub and drum systems. Verify axle build date and casting numbers before ordering.
R&P Knowledge Hub – Understanding the 2009 Dexter Change
In mid-2009, Dexter redesigned its 9K and 10K General Duty axle hub systems. Earlier axles used a two-piece 288-series configuration (8-288, 8-232, 8-256), while 2009+ axles transitioned to the 8-415 and 8-430 series.
Although bearings and brake assemblies remained consistent across both generations, hub castings and drum mating surfaces changed. As a result, pre-2009 hubs and drums do not interchange with 2009 and newer systems.
Confirm casting numbers and brake dimensions before ordering to ensure proper fitment.
