Dust Shield Kit – 10K / 12K AL-KO – Hydraulic Brake Backing Plates
Dust shield kit designed for 10,000 lb and 12,000 lb AL-KO hydraulic brake assemblies. These shields install between the axle brake flange and hydraulic backing plate to help protect brake components from debris, moisture, and road contamination.
Compatible with AL-KO hydraulic drum brake systems only.
This kit includes one top shield and one bottom shield.

Hydraulic trailer brake systems operate using fluid pressure from a surge or electric-over-hydraulic actuator. Dust shields are mounted behind the hydraulic backing plate to reduce exposure to road debris and contamination.
Installation requires removal of the backing plate from the axle flange. Always verify axle capacity (10K or 12K), brake type (hydraulic only), and flange configuration before ordering. This kit is not intended for electric brake systems.
