R&P Knowledge Hub
Nev-R-Lube hubs use a sealed cartridge bearing instead of traditional inner and outer tapered bearings. The cartridge presses into the hub and is retained with a snap ring.
These hubs are typically found on many Dexter 5.2K and 6K axle assemblies using the 6-lug hub configuration such as the Dexter 8-388 series.
Nev-R-Lube bearings are not serviceable. When worn or damaged, the entire cartridge must be replaced as a complete unit. The retaining snap ring and spindle nut should also be replaced during service.
Common cartridge sizes include 42mm and 50mm. Always confirm hub compatibility before installation.
