Heavy-duty lifting support with an integrated locking function. This 200 lb locking gas spring is designed for compatible RV, camper, trailer, hatch, and access-panel applications requiring controlled movement and support in the extended position.
With an 11.5-inch stroke and 28-inch extended length, this gas spring provides substantial travel for larger doors, covers, and lift-up compartments. The locking mechanism helps prevent unintended closure when properly engaged.

Confirm Fitment Before Ordering
Gas springs are not interchangeable based on appearance or force rating alone. Before replacing an existing support, compare the following:
- Extended length — 28 inches
- Compressed length — 16.5 inches
- Stroke travel — 11.5 inches
- Force rating — 200 lb
- 13 mm ball-socket mounting connections
- Locking operation and mounting geometry
Important: This strut uses larger 13 mm ball-socket connections. Confirm that your existing brackets have compatible mounting balls. Brackets for smaller 10 mm connections are not directly interchangeable.
Installation & Safety Notes
Always support the door or hatch independently while removing or installing gas springs. A gas strut is pressurized and must not be punctured, heated, opened, or modified.
Confirm that the mounting structure, attachment points, and locking mechanism are suitable for the application. Test the completed installation carefully before use.
