Slipper Spring – 7 Leaf – 4,000 lb Capacity

Part Number: 1403T3

Seven-leaf slipper spring designed for trailer suspension systems that use slipper-style hangers or equalizers. This spring measures 26-1/8" long by 2" wide and is commonly used on trailers equipped with 8,000 lb axles.

Slipper springs support the trailer’s axle while allowing controlled movement as the suspension compresses and rebounds. They are typically found on utility, equipment, dump, and cargo trailers where durability and load stability are required under varying road conditions.

Over time, leaf springs can lose their original arch due to repeated loading, road shock, or uneven weight distribution. Flattened or fatigued springs may cause the trailer to sag, ride unevenly, or place added stress on axles, tires, and suspension components. Replacing worn slipper springs helps restore proper ride height and suspension travel.

Features

  • Seven-leaf slipper spring construction
  • Supports axle load and maintains ride height
  • Helps absorb road shock and reduce suspension fatigue
  • Designed for slipper-style hanger or equalizer systems
  • Nylon eye bushing installed

Verify spring dimensions, hanger configuration, and axle compatibility before installation. For balanced suspension performance and even load distribution, leaf springs should be replaced in pairs.
