Redline 12-1/4" Electric Trailer Brake Shoe Return Springs
Two color-coded shoe return springs designed to fit Dexter 12-1/4" electric brake assemblies. Includes one gold spring and one black spring. Gold Spring: This is the front (primary) shoe return spring. It connects to the front-facing brake shoe, which typically requires slightly different tension characteristics because it receives less force during forward braking than the trailing shoe. Black Spring: This is the rear (secondary) shoe return spring. It attaches to the rear-facing brake shoe, which bears the brunt of the stopping friction.
