UFP Stainless Steel Spindle Wear Ring with O-Ring – Fits 3,500-4,200 lb UFP Axles
Replacement stainless steel spindle wear ring with O-ring designed for UFP (Unique Functional Products) trailer axles rated from 3,500 lb to 4,200 lb. This wear sleeve installs on axles that originally came with a factory-installed wear ring.
This is not a repair sleeve. It is intended only for UFP axles that were originally equipped with this sleeve from the factory.
R&P Knowledge Hub
UFP axles commonly use an oil-bath or hybrid hub system that seals against a stainless spindle wear ring rather than the spindle surface itself. This sleeve provides a hardened sealing surface for the grease or oil seal.
All UFP axles in the 3,500–4,200 lb range typically use a 1.68" grease/oil seal. Another identifying feature is the UFP axle nut retention system, which uses a flat axle nut covered by a thin stamped steel “bottle cap” style retainer secured with a cotter pin.
If your axle does not use this bottle-cap style nut retainer, this sleeve likely will not fit your axle.
Installation requires removing the existing sleeve by cutting it off the spindle. The new sleeve can be installed by using the inner bearing as a mandrel along with a section of PVC pipe or similar sleeve to evenly drive the wear ring into place. Previous mechanical experience is recommended.
Note: The factory does not publish official dimensional specifications for this sleeve. Any listed dimensions are approximate and provided for reference only.
